Flights: you are all on your own. But look at the cheap domestic carriers that offer on-line bookings.  Be careful of their terms and conditions regarding luggage allowances, gate closing times etc as they can be strict but the prices are usually fairly reasonable.  Flight Centre usually has competitive prices for domestic travel.

From the airport:  Probably best to just grab a cab.  Alternatively, there is an Airport Shuttle service that will probably be able to drop you at the hotel.  $8.50 one way or $14 return.
